Here are three reports from a friend from Arizona

Here are three reports from a friend from Arizona, who's in New Mexico for the final days of the campaign:
Barack Obama called between rallies.  In a conference call to 20,000 field organizers around the country, which over 50 people listened to on speakerphone here, he congratulated us and motivated us to work 24/7 for the last 72 hours.

We have a few field organizers here, so if there were 10 volunteers for each organizer in each office, Barrack spoke "directly" to 200,000 workers in the movement by phone.

The call organizers went over early voting and contacts made numbers both of which are unprecedented by huge margins over anything ever done before.  McCain is pouring money into negative robocalls and TV ads, as he has no such army of workers.  150 Arizonans have arrived in New Mexico so far, with over 200 expected to work here by election day.  Cars in the parking lot also have Texas and California plates, and I've met people from Texas and Oklahoma.
---------------------

There were cars in the parking lot of the local GOP HQ here, and we saw some old white men going in. McCain doesn't have an HQ besides sharing the GOP HQ. There were far more cars at the Dem HQ and they are working on the local campaigns. The Obama HQ is a mile away.

There are just as many cars here at Obama HQ too, but most of the cars are out in the field. The whole town has been canvassed multiple times, and most voters identified. There are literally hundreds of volunteers working this small city, and this is going on all across the country.

I've done calling, driving and walking and now I'm online to do data entry as well. The green chile enchiladas were good too. I thought that Las Cruces would be a liberal bastion similar to Tucson as the demographics are similar and it's a university town, but it's far more conservative and Republican than Tucson. Albuquerque is more like Tucson on the liberal/conservative scale. We're mining the neighborhoods to make sure that every favorable voter casts their vote, as NM was a 5,000 vote margin last time, and a 500 vote margin in 2000. Between 30 and 40 percent of voters have already cast their ballots early, and are doing so still until 6 tonight.

Outside, we are passing out yard signs at the intersection. We have old white people too! One of them is outside running out into traffic stopped at the red light to hand out signs. Someone wants one every other light or so.

The game plan for Tuesday (below - sent already), is way cool, and will avoid the inefficiencies of past election days. In addition to what I've described below, a key, especially in places without early voting and with large populations will be poll station comfort captain. Obama supporters will be set up outside the legal boundries with snacks and water for people who wind up stuck in long lines for hours.
