Jon Stewart gives Mitt Romney a well-deserved RIPPING on last night's Daily Show

Y'know, I used to think that if Mitt Romney became President, it wouldn't be so bad -- he seemed to be a pragmatic, sensible businessperson who could at least restore some semblance of competence to the White House.  But after seeing clips of his withdrawal speech yesterday on The Daily Show, I'm terrified by this guy.

Run, don't walk, to see this video of Jon Stewart giving Romney a well-deserved RIPPING on last night's Daily Show.  One of Jon Stewart's best ever!

In his speech yesterday, Romney said the following (I kid you not!):

"I entered this race becasue I love America, and because I love America, in this time of war, I feel I have to now stand aside for our party and for our country...If I fight on in my campaign all the way until the convention, I forestall the launch of a national campaign.  Frankly, I'd be making it easier for Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama to win...In this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror."

Yes, the despicable scum bag really said this.  As Jon Stewart noted: "So, if Mitt Romney keeps running for President, the terrorists win." and "So anyone who votes for a Democrat is in league with a surrender to terror?!"

Later in his speech, Romney also said (again, I kid you not!):

"I will continue to stand for conservative principles...Get out that weed whacker and take it to regulations...to preserve this country, expand its freedoms and renew its spirit...the liberals haven't given up...the attack on faith and religion...tolerance for pornography, even celebration of it...and sexual promiscuity combined with the twisted incentives of government welfare...[we must] fortify marriage through constitutional amendment so that liberal judges cannot continue to attack it...we could become the French of the 21st century...Europe is facing a demographic disaster that's the inevitable product of weakened faith in the Creator...these jihadists will battle any form of democracy because to them, democracy is blasphemous because it says that citizens, not God, shape the law...I firmly believe by the Providence of the Almighty that we will succeed beyond our fondest hope..."

I am at a loss for words...

Jon Stewart so rightly notes: "Is this out a conservative speech mad lib book?!"
